Batbox Duet Bat Detector The Batbox Duet is a dual-mode bat detector, with both heterodyne and frequency division, designed for
single-handed operation.
The large LCD back-lit display is extremely accurate and easy to read at all light levels. Frequency amplitude detection allows post-recording computer

BatScan Analysis Software for the Batbox Duet Bat Detector BatScan requires Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, or Windows XP.
BatScan runs best with 128MB or more of RAM memory.
BatScan will operate with 8-bit color. 24-bit color is required in order to save screen images as graphics files (jpeg or bitmap).
BatScan processes PCM format digital audio data such as .wav sound files but cannot convert compressed audio data.
In order to record and play back sound samples, you will need a Windows compatible sound card installed. However, a sound card is not necessary in order to analyze
and display audio spectrograms.

European Bats This book by Yves Tupinier has 132 pages of detailed analysis of European bat echolocation calls. The opening chapters have some
general explanations of sound, hearing, acoustics etc. This is probably the most advanced book available on the subject of European bat echolocation.

British Bats This is a high quality audio cassette which contains 20 tracks of the most common British bat species. A narrative indicates the
species and any observations, at the beginning of each track. All of the recordings were made using a BATBOX III bat detector.
