Designed by software engineers and tailored to bat biologists' research needs, Kaleidoscope is an integrated suite of bat data tools designed to help you quickly convert files, sort and categorize bat data by species, verify your findings, visualize your work and easily transform it into reports. Kaleidoscope has been called a tremendous time-saver for analysis work.
Easy File Conversion
Kaleidoscope makes short work of converting files. This powerful – and free – feature can convert many nights of call data in a matter of minutes. Its acoustic scrubbing feature filters false triggers, anthropogenic noise, and non-biological sounds such as rain, wind.
Do you work with full-spectrum files but want to see them in zero-crossing? No problem. Files convert with a click of the mouse.
Automatic Species Identification
Combined with Kaleidoscope Auto ID software's bat classifiers, you can identify and verify gigabytes of files in minutes. We designed the software to allow extremely efficient reviewing of the identification results. The Viewer will work with any full-spectrum, time-expansion or zero-crossing recordings.

Kaleidoscope Viewer
The Kaleidoscope Viewer is a high speed tool for bat call spectrogram analysis. Not only is the Viewer faster and easier to use than competing software, it features the most innovative, flexible and easily customizable spectrogram on the market.
With the Viewer audio playback feature, you can choose between normal or fast speeds – or listen to time expanded bat calls by slowing everything down by a factor of 8, 10, 16, or 20 times. Audio playback combined with the Kaleidoscope Viewer will make your data analysis even faster and easier.

Featuring advanced file conversion capabilities and bat species classifiers for the USA, Neotropics, Europe and United Kingdom, it employs acoustic algorithms capable of converting and analyzing gigabytes of call data in a matter of minutes – then accurately sorts the data into likely bat species – eliminating tedious tasks and saving valuable time. Kaleidoscope software quickly converts a wide combination of file formats – from WAV to zero-crossing, native zero crossing to synthesized WAV, and from WAC to WAV or zero-crossing.

Kaleidoscope Pro 12-month Subscription (one user)
You can purchase a one-year one-user renewable subscription to access Kaleidoscope Pro features including any updated versions. You can easily administer multiple subscriptions for multiple users from your "My Account" page on the Wildlife Acoustics website. Each subscription starts when first activated. You can purchase subscription credits and apply them to your account. Then you use your same login email and password from the Kaleidoscope Pro software to activate your subscription. Note that there will be a delay of 1-2 days before I can get your licence key for you.
