About Us

We are a small business dedicated to conserving and improving our natural environment, through education, practical conservation and implementation of small and large scale environmental projects.
From wildlife surveys for protected species to environmental education and wildlife gardening, we aim to assist our clients in an affordable and professional manner.

We have a wide range of products and services available to help you enhance your environment, and we provide free advice by e-mail, so feel free to contact us if you have a problem or question.
Our team consists of a few carefully chosen individuals, who are all dedicated to a better future for the planet and its human and non-human inhabitants. They are all experienced in their individual fields, and you can rely on them for a professional service, anywhere in the UK.

Please note that, due to the nature of our business, our office is often unattended, so please leave a message if you telephone, and we will call you back as soon as we can (sometimes we are away for a day or two, so please be patient - we will get back to you!!).
We usually manage to check e-mails at least once a day, so this is the easiest way to contact us, or you can call us on our mobile: 0 70 90 80 WILD (9453).

Nick Perrin, Dry-stone Waller and Forester Nick's background is in practical conservation work; he spent 7 years as a staff member of the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers, mostly in North Wales, before qualifying as a forester.
With many years' experience of growing, planting and pruning trees, including several years in Africa, he has undertaken mountain footpath repair in Snowdonia and has built two large dry-stone retaining terraces behind his new house.
Nick's hobbies include morris dancing, singing and folk music.
Tim Hodnett, licensed bat & newt worker Tim is our bat specialist, assisting our clients with bat-related 'problems' - he always finds a way to keep our clients on the right side of the law, but still allow them to undertake the works they want to (possibly with slight modification).
Tim has experience of many different species of wildlife, and the licensing and mitigation issues concerning them.
We specialise in protected species work, including conservation of red squirrels We have an extensive team of specialists available for all wildlife & countryside work, whether protected species surveys and mitigation or riverbank stabilisation and creation/restoration of habitats.
We can assist you with projects from beginning to end, from initial surveys to recomendations for further surveys, advice on wildlife legislation and mitigations, consultation with Natural England, Countryside Council for Wales & Scottish Natural Heritage, DEFRA, and Welsh Assembly Government, licensing, etc.
We supply all materials needed for species work, including surveying materials such as dormouse boxes and bait-marking chips for badgers, newt/reptile fencing, badger gates and fencing, otter fencing & artificial holts (dens) etc, and we work all over the UK.
Please contact us for further information on the services and products we can supply, or if you have a specific requirement that we can help you with.
